Meghan and John’s beautiful wedding reception took place at Evergreen Museum and Library’s Carriage House. Meghan and John wanted a variety of fresh food that celebrated the summer season. We worked with them to design a custom menu that catered to all 230 of their guests. Their cocktail hour took place in Evergreen’s beautiful outdoor courtyard. We had stationary appetizers of seasonal vegetables, fresh fruit, imported and domestic cheeses, and Charcuterie, as guests mingled and explored the beautiful property. We also served mini pork belly tacos, smoked salmon canapes, cinnamon seared tuna spoons, candied bacon, and asparagus wrapped with beef sirloin.
After cocktail hour, guests made their way down to the Evergreen Carriage House for the remainder of the evening. The carriage house was decorated beautifully with lights draped in the main dancing room. Instead of a traditional cake, Meghan and John had an assortment of cupcakes for their guests, which was displayed on refurbished tree slices. Mr. and Mrs. Hinder also had their last name in marquee lights directly behind the guest tables in the carriage house. All of the personalized wedding chalkboard signs added to Meghan and John’s wedding decor for their Evergreen Carriage House wedding.
For this summer Baltimore wedding, we had a stations style dinner service. Guests enjoyed our Charcoal Grill Station with chef carved seasoned strip steak and roasted turkey breast with assorted breads and condiments. We also had our From the Shore station with Rockfish Tacos topped with pickled red onion, diced avocado, cilantro lime rice, and sweet chili sauce. The tacos were accompanied with crab claws, and our heirloom Maryland Tomato and Buffalo Mozzarella Salad with crystallized basil. To top it off, we served our Summer in the City station featuring blackened chicken breast, blackened shrimp, warm potato salad and Caesar salad.
