Deciding the size of your wedding is one of the first difficult decisions you make when planning a wedding. If you want an intimate ceremony with only friends and family, then the venue you choose inevitably will be a smaller setting too. If you and your better half both have large families and lots of friends that you want there for your special day -then a larger venue is a must. So what if you have an intimate ceremony with only your closest family and friends, but later you wish you could have celebrated with the rest of your family and friends? You take a page out of Nicole and Tywon’s book. You have a Baltimore Vow Renewal.

Nicole and Tywon had their Baltimore vow renewal at the American Visionary Art Museum. Wanting to have a large celebration with family and friends, Nicole and Tywon decided to renew their vows together overlooking the Inner Harbor and the iconic “hill” of Federal Hill. AVAM has many options for the location of the ceremony. Nicole and Tywon decided to have their ceremony and reception on the third floor of the JRVC. To separate the ceremony from the reception, we used pipe and drape to eloquently divide the two.

The beauty of vow renewals is it gives you an opportunity to incorporate all those elements that you may have wish you had at your wedding. It even allows you to choose a completely different theme. Whatever the reasons may have been for Nicole and Tywon’s Baltimore vow renewal, it was a stunning event. Complete with a New Orleans style, brass band; a photo booth; and a DJ, this event was every bit of entertaining for Nicole and Tywon’s guests.

Let’s get into some wedding decor details. We had the pleasure of working with Brat Events, LLC who did an amazing job with the event decor, especially the guest table linens and centerpieces. You may be wondering how “amazing” table linens can be, but wait until you see the photos. Alternating between satin white and charcoal gray, the table linens incorporated styles like table runners and other floral textures. The centerpieces were simple, but eye catching. If you are looking for ideas of how to decorate your own wedding, Nicole and Tywon’s vow renewal would be a great place to start.

Of course we have to share what we served for this lovely Baltimore Vow Renewal.

We can’t finish without talking about the stunning cake that Nicole and Tywon had for their Baltimore vow renewal at AVAM. Cakes 2-A-T made this beautiful cake. Check out their website to see who they have made other wedding cakes for, including former Ravens player, Ray Lewis. The cake topper was silver wedding rings to represent Nicole and Tywon’s love and commitment to each other. It sat atop a gorgeous four tier cake that had splashes of charcoal gray and touches of beautiful white hand-made flowers.

Check out these photos from this Baltimore Vow Renewal. Congratulations to Nicole and Tywon! It was a pleasure catering this AVAM event.
