With our summer wedding season drawing to an end, we wanted to feature Shavonne and Kahleb’s beautiful Newton White Mansion wedding. Their wedding colors of sage, blush, ivory and gold looked so eloquent in the mansion’s glass-enclosed atrium. If you are not familiar with Newton White Mansion it is a stunning venue located in Prince George’s county. Shavonne and Kahleb took advantage of the picturesque outdoor patio, where their Newton White Mansion wedding ceremony took place surrounding a beautiful outdoor fountain.
The cocktail hour took place in the upper patio, with the bar located on the large porch. Having the cocktail hour on the upper patio allowed for guests to enjoy drinks and appetizers outside, but also gave them quick access to the indoor ballroom in case the July heat became too much. For appetizers we served our sweet and sour cocktail meatballs, Maryland crab dip, seasonal vegetables, and our Natty Boh cheddar cheese fondue. We also served our jerk chicken skewers with a pineapple curry sauce, Asian pot stickers with a wasabi cream, buffalo chicken wonton with a blue cheese sauce, shrimp tostada with a mango salsa, and fresh fruit skewers.
After cocktail hour guests took their seats in the stunning atrium, which overlooks the Enterprise golf course. After the bridal party was introduced and Shavonne and Kahleb had their first dance, we served our Caesar salad with sliced mushroom, diced red onion and toasted croutons. For the main course guests had the option between our boneless breast of chicken stuffed with feta cheese and spinach, topped with our fire roasted red pepper sauce, and our teriyaki glazed salmon on a bed of braised spinach, topped with caramelized onions. All of the entrees were accompanied by garlic mashed red skin potatoes and a medley of sauteed baby root vegetables.
We had a fantastic time catering this beautiful Newton White Mansion wedding. Congratulations to Shavonne and Kahleb!
