Zeffert and Gold recently worked with Alison and Brian to plan the wedding of their dreams at a beautiful venue called Evergreen Museum and Library located just 10 minutes from the Inner Harbor. Guests arrived to Evergreen after the ceremony and walked onto the grand patio for cocktail hour. With beautiful architectural designs surrounding the exterior and nicely manicured lawns and gardens, this venue certainly creates an elegant setting. Guests dined on hot Maryland crab dip, an artisan cheese selection, root beer BBQ pork sliders, roasted garlic and saffron risotto cakes and jerk chicken skewers.
Alison and Brian’s friends and family then walked down the path of stairs leading to the carriage house. The space was decorated with blue and soft white hues which made the space feel inviting. Just before dinner was served, the bride’s parents made a touching speech and participated in a polish tradition that blessed the newly married couple with best wishes for their future. Guests had their choice of either sliced tenderloin of beef with a cabernet sauce, parmesan crusted chicken with basil beurre blac, teriyaki lazed salmon topped with braised spinach and caramelized onions or a roasted vegetable streudel entrée accompanied with broccoli rabe and garlic mashed red potatoes.
The dance floor lit up the scene after dinner where friends and family could let loose and enjoy the party. The bride and groom brought their Gettysburg College flag to snap pictures with their college friends who all came out to celebrate their special day. After delicious food and a yummy wedding cake for dessert, guests enjoyed their time celebrating with Alison and Brian. The happy couple had their family and friends sign a frame with tiny paper hearts for their guestbook. At the end of the night, the bride and groom left happy and eager to start their new lives together. We were very grateful to be a part of Alison and Brian’s special day and wish them an endless supply of health and happiness! Congrats!
