Aaron GoldOwner
Aaron Gold, a partner in Zeffert & Gold, has served guests at many of the most elegant and historic venues in Baltimore and Washington for over 20 years. Aaron’s expertise is in the creation of eclectic and adventurous events and cuisine, skills he brings to the coordination of events for social and corporate clients.

Monroe ZeffertOwner
Monroe Zeffert, a partner in Zeffert & Gold, has offered wonderful food and great service to his clients for over 25 years, developing a reputation for his exceptional ability to work with hosts to coordinate a successful event. Monroe is skilled in event planning and has knowledge of all the event locations in the Greater Baltimore-Washington area.

Matthew GoldCreative Director
Matt is our Creative Director and has worked at Zeffert and Gold Catering since he was thirteen. He has worked in all aspects of the business including event planning, event management, and menu creation. He currently works to create innovative ideas to amaze your guests. When Matt is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and his dogs Kirby and Chandler.
Matt Campion Executive Chef
Matt Campion has over 15 years of kitchen experience to our team. He graduated with honors from The Culinary Institute of America with a bachelor’s in hospitality management. After spending years in NYC and DC catering, he moved home to Maryland on a mission to bring fun, creative, and high quality food to our kitchen.
Ben SmithGeneral Manager
Ben Smith was born into the hospitality industry and worked every position in his grandparents restaurants while spending his summers in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. After graduating from the University of Maryland- Baltimore County, he found himself working in the corporate restaurant world before joining the Zeffert and Gold team in May 2017. Ben is Z&G’s General Manager and oversees the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, the fleet unit, all staffing needs, and is one of our best event managers.
Kim Smith Assistant General Manager
Since starting her employment with Zeffert and Gold in 2017, Kimberly has risen through the ranks from an event server to her current position as the Assistant General Manager. Before coming to Z&G, Kimberly was a teacher and school principal for over 10 years. Her extensive educational experience has transferred over well as she oversees the training for new Z&G team members. Kimberly’s proudest moment to date is being the mother of four beautiful children.
Elaine Adler LissEvent Designer
Elaine Adler Liss brings over 25 years of experience in event planning to Zeffert & Gold. Over the course of her long and distinguished career, Elaine has become known for her knowledge of event planning, her organizational prowess and her wonderful ideas for food and décor. She especially loves planning Bar and Bat Mitzvas and weddings, working with each client as if they were part of her own family.
Amie GoldChief Administrator
Amie Gold has worked at Zeffert and Gold since she was thirteen. Amie has done both sales and every administrative task that comes our way. She currently is our Chief Administrator and helps to keep the entire sales team functioning behind the scenes. When Amie is not at work she is most likely playing with her pets or nieces and nephews.
Lisa SchatzEvent Designer
Lisa Schatz began working planning private events in 2017 after a career in fashion. Her experience in food and beverage, customer service and styling laid the groundwork for her role at Z&G. However, it’s Lisa’s life of the party personality that shines, and she truly loves to make each client’s event a truly memorable occasion. In her downtime, Lisa enjoys cooking and entertaining at home, and pretty much anything on Bravo TV.
Adelaide KachurEvent Designer
Adelaide Kachur joined the Zeffert and Gold team in 2021 as one of our Event Designers. She is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Baking and Pastry Arts and she received further training at Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie in the Haute-Loire département in France. Adelaide has always been drawn to artistic pursuits, and as she has transitioned to event design, she has brought with her years of kitchen experience as well as a discerning creative instinct and a meticulousness honed by a background in fine detail work.
Samantha CramerEvent Designer
Samantha has over 10 years of experience working in the restaurant industry, beginning as a hostess at a brewery, and working her way up to general manager of a world-renowned jazz club. Her years of experience has given her the expertise and worldliness to produce the show and run it. Outside of work you can find Samantha reminiscing on the days of her previous life as a tragic Greek poet. Her go-getter attitude mixed with a creative flair will help make your vision come alive.
