If there is one thing that we hope for all of our clients is that they are able to relax and enjoy their events. After months of planning, we hope that they can set aside all the stress they may be feeling, and enjoy their special day with their family and friends. That may sound like a given, but for some brides and grooms it is overwhelming for them to find time to talk to guests, dance, drink, eat, and do so in a balance way. It was evident on Saturday at our AVAM Sculpture Barn Wedding, that Danielle and Sam embraced their big day(s). Danielle and Sam had their wedding ceremony the day before their reception. Guests arrived fresh and ready to celebrate on Saturday; the bride still in her gorgeous gown.

Even though the temperature was below average for a spring day in Baltimore, the AVAM Sculpture Barn was the perfect setting for Danielle and Sam’s cocktail hour and stations style dinner reception. On the stationary appetizer table we served hot Maryland crab dip with assorted crackers and pita; roasted vegetable bruschetta, olive Muffalette bruschetta with garlic crostini and pita; mango and jicama salsa, plum tomato relish, salsa verdi with tortilla chips and garlic crostini; and baked brie en brioche on raspberry coulis served with assorted crackers.

We also had some new menu items that we served as passed appetizers. Smoked Salmon canape with roasted tomato, yellow pepper, chives, saffron oil, with fresh radish on a sliced French baguette; Chevre Tartlet, which included charred cherry tomato, truffle oil, charred quenelle of curried goat cheese in a Phyllo Β pastry cup; and beef tenderloin with an Asiago cheese and artichoke compote on garlic crostini. We included Spanakopita, and our signature Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos too.

Picture the rustic brick walls of the AVAM Sculpture Barn, lit by the hanging string lights. We used crisp white linens to brighten up the room, and incorporated wood crates to add a refine rustic touch. Flowers by My Flower Box Events added the perfect splash of color and scent of spring to the room, even if the weather outside felt more like autumn.

The ambiance of the reception was relaxed, light-hearted and fun. When guests weren’t trying one of the stations like the Panini Station, or the Argentinian Station, they were out on the dance floor. When they needed a break from the dance floor, they visited the bride and groom’s signature Gin Bar. We had so much fun catering Danielle and Sam’s wedding reception. Congratulations to the newly married couple! We look forward to all of our events at the AVAM Sculpture Barn this year.
